Christopher Stevens Virtual Exchange Initiative Award for his Hands-on Energy and Thermo-fluids (HEAT) Program. Anita Badhwar plays an important role in the functioning of the Office of Global Teaching (OGL) here at UFIC, by coordinating various marketing initiatives and award disbursement, event planning, and managing student employees and their day-to-day tasks within her unit. The UF Gator Marching Band has received a formal invitation from the mayors of Vierville-sur-Mer and Saint Laurent-sur-Mer to be the premier performance ensemble and parade leader for the events surrounding the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. The parade route travels adjacent to Omaha Beach and will conclude with Gator Band’s standstill performance on the beach at the Les Braves Omaha Beach Memorial, which commemorates the American soldiers who lost their lives on D-Day. UFIC Carnival 24 3

Led by Amila Tica, Coordinator of Exchange Student Services, and an exceptional volunteer team, the International Center Exchange Visitors Services team orchestrated a truly remarkable Community Carnival for all exchange audiences and the international community and families on campus on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Last week the International Scholars Program (ISP) was honored with the prestigious Career Influencer Award by the Career Connections Center. This award recognizes the impact of the program on shaping the professional and global skills of undergraduate students at the University of Florida. Among the program features mentioned in the award were the intentional connection between global experiences and employability achieved throughout the program and the ePortfolio capstone project.
