International Education Week 2023 - “Forging Paths in Global Education and Engagement!”

November 13-17 marks the celebration of International Education Week at UF!

For over 15 years, the University of Florida has been proud to celebrate International Education Week (IEW). International Education Week is a joint annual initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the U.S. Department of Education. IEW provides an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education promotes programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.

At the International Center, we are excited to roll out our revamped mission statement:

To forge new paths in international education and engagement, to facilitate global collaboration through transformative international experiences and support services, and to further cross-cultural understanding.

With that goal in mind, UFIC takes pleasure in its role of supporting the global dimensions that made our university #1 and makes sure that all members of the UF community find opportunities, skills, and support to be global citizens who contribute to a positive and sustainable future for local communities and the world.

Therefore, under the theme “Forging Paths in Global Education and Engagement!”, we invite all UF colleges, departments, and centers to celebrate and support International Education Week 2023 by hosting an event and highlighting their international accomplishments.
