International Education Week 2023 - “Forging Paths in Global Education and Engagement!”

November 13-17 marks the celebration of International Education Week on the UF campus.

For over 15 years, the University of Florida has been proud to celebrate International Education Week (IEW). International Education Week is a joint annual initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the U.S. Department of Education. IEW provides an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment as well as those which attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences here on campus.

As part of the IEW celebration, we would like to share the International Center’s new mission statement:

To forge new paths in international education and engagement, to facilitate global collaboration through transformative international experiences and support services, and to further cross-cultural understanding.

UFIC takes pleasure in its role of supporting the global dimensions that made our university ranked number one among public schools in the nation, and in ensuring that all members of the UF community have the opportunities, skills, and support to be global citizens who contribute to a positive and sustainable future for local communities and the world. Therefore, under the theme “Forging Paths in Global Education and Engagement”, we invite all UF colleges, departments, and centers to celebrate and support International Education Week 2023 by hosting an event and highlighting their international accomplishments.
