On August 18, Dr. Louisa Klemmer, UF alumna and current Vice President for Academic and International Affairs at Harz University of Applied Sciences in Germany, visited UFIC to discuss opportunities for collaboration between our institutions. While meeting with Paloma Rodriguez and Carrie Martins from the Office of Global Learning and Michael Kung from the Office of Global Research Engagement, the group shared about each institution's existing international education and research initiatives, as well as academic areas that could work well for potential collaboration. Harz University of Applied Sciences has experience implementing virtual exchange projects, hosting study abroad students, and aligning initiatives with the Sustainable Development Goals. Faculty interested in developing a partnership with this institution should contact Carrie Martins (cmartins@ufic.ufl.edu) for teaching projects or Michael Kung (mkung@ufic.ufl.edu) for research projects.
