Ethel attended and graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Statistics and an M.S. in Management. She was a student assistant at the University of Florida International Center prior to graduating from UF. In 2006, she joined the International Student Services Team and currently serves as the Assistant Director of F-1 International Student Services. Ethel initially moved to Gainesville from South Florida and quickly acclimated to the city and campus environment, which led to her decision to remain and contribute to the development of future students. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering in the Gainesville community, reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends.
