  • International Research Fellow: This award recognizes outstanding international career accomplishments by mid to late-career faculty members (anytime post-tenure or at least 7 years in their academic career for non-tenure track).

Karen Garrett

Preeminent Professor, Plant Pathology.

  • Early Career International Research Fellow: This award recognizes early career faculty members in research (anytime pre-tenure or less than 7 years since hire into their academic career for non-tenure track).

Vanessa Hull

Assistant Professor, Wildlife Ecology and Conservation.

  • International Educator: This award recognizes outstanding international career accomplishments in education through teaching and mentoring by mid to late-career faculty members (anytime five years or more post-tenure or more than 10 years in their academic career for non-tenure track).

Muthusami Kumaran

Associate Professor, Family, Youth, and Community Sciences.

  • Early Career International Educator: This award recognizes early career faculty members in education through teaching and mentoring (anytime up to 5 years post-tenure or less than 10 years since hire into their academic career for non-tenure track).

Anthony Auletta

Assistant Instructional Professor; Entomology and Nematology.

  • Award for Internationalizing Extension: This award recognizes 100% Extension appointment faculty (agents) for their contributions to building an international dimension into their Extension program.

Shane Michael

County Extension Agent and 4-H Extension Agent III, Seminole County.

  • Award for Excellence in Support of Internationalizing Student Education:This award recognizes staff for their contributions to supporting teaching efforts and international students at UF. The top IFAS winner will represent IFAS in the UF International Educator Awards – Staff Award category.

Tina Gwin

The two top candidates for the International Educator and Early Career International Educator awards will represent IFAS in the competition for the UF International Senior and Junior Educator awards, respectively. 
In addition, the winner of the Award for Excellence in Support of Internationalizing Student Education will represent IFAS in the UF competition for the Staff International Educator of the Year award.
